Ok Team, you asked for it and I'm ready to start providing it! Just ONE MORE thing to do....

That's decide which patch and flight design I use.

Personally I REALLY like Dave's Black and White one, but I am going to put them up to a vote to see what you like.

Also, if there are more that should be here I need you input but for now let's look at these three:

    1.

    2.

    3.

On a side note I will be ordering 200 of these and that will cost less!

So I will be passing on that savings to you! I expect these patches to go for $4 each instead of $5.

I voted for the blue, really like it. The black is great as well. Not really wrapped on the dual color one myself. So either of the first 2 for me.

    Cheers,

Just a heads up. Any of these will print up a flight no problem, however if the patch is going to be embroidered again, there will be some differences in how they turn out.

I spent 10 years in the embroidery industry so bear with me here Wink

You can get a blending effect with thread if youre really good at it, however perfection is hard to come by and a couple of these designs dont really lend themselves to stitching with the blended or half tone areas such as the dartboard on number 1 and the effect on number 3.

If these designs were sent to me to digitize for embroidery I would advise number 2 for the best possible results in stitches.

The same advice goes when it comes to micro sized lettering, drop shadows on lettering etc... You just have to keep in mind that when it comes to embroidery it is a 3 dimentional medium, using stitches which effect the substrate (in this case twill).

I for one like them all, I just dont want to see a design too complex go out for embroidery and become issues with the finished product.

As they look, I choose the black and white.

I love the blue and black - I had a personal company for a while with those colours - but the I prefer the dartboard more prominent/visible/coloured.

So, are Rags' designs not an option? I still like the ones that are predominantly dartboards with the world in the background. Or was it Jennifer Aniston in the foreground, and....... I guess Predator is not an option for our mascot??

I like #2 because it will go nicely with my silver Hero's or gold Golden Hero's.

All would be great, but if I HAD to choose only one then it must be the BLUE, BLUE, BLUE one!!! Very Happy

Not sure why anyone would want to embroider a flight anyway ( Twisted Evil ) so it doesn't HAVE to match any patches that are made...

(So when can we start ordering some of those BLUE flights Erik??! Razz )

Flights? Hmmm...that's a big order. I'd have to order 3000+ to do those like that last two orders (which I have many left from still).....

Considering Rags comments on the difficulty of getting the designs as patches, I would be more than happy with the black one.

A note on the flights and numbers Erik. I know that I for one would order a LOT more if they were a global design than I did with the current ones. The current ones are really just for my collection. I'm sure a lot of other non-US members would do the same.

I'd probably order several hundred sets at a time. Smile

    Cheers,
    Mark

All this talk of flights. What styles are you going to have done?
I know there is some interest in the slim style. Just a thought.

I like the black and white one best. Like it is now you can see the dartboard and the world best.

Next is the black and blue one, but it is a little bit dark and the colours are to similar, perhaps with a lighter blue ?

The black one I think is not so expressive and the world is , for me Laughing , too small.

So for me it is the black and white, but I fear it will be most difficult to embroider.

DOH! That's what I get for not paying attention! I didn't even realize those were supposed to be patches!

I love #3 for flights. That design rocks.

My call on stitching still goes to 2 for patches though just for runabilitys sake, but it wouldnt hurt to send the art to your vendor for their opinion - who knows they might be up to the challenge on 3 (I dont think 1 is gonna stitch).

If ya need a "pro embroiderers" opinion I can PM ya some contacts. I sold my embroidery digitizing software a couplea years ago.

    Thanks Rags,

And your stuff ain't out of the water either, but those three DT did really grabbed my eye!

I used a pretty realiable vendor but am always willing to check out others (but email me ok? hehe too many PM's).

On Flights --- hmmmm.....big orders are harder to do, but perhaps I can be convinced to do one. The deal is this: I'm just a workin' guy and though the flights always pay for themselves, I have to 'carry' or float the balance until they do, which can take months (not usually more then 2 or 3 though).

perhaps it's time for me to get serious about the business side of SEWA?

I also think I will likely do more designs and it's possible to see ALL of those on flights some day!

    Erik

Hay Im with ya on that. DT took things to another level. I was working on some sort of variation of the existing images. The designs DT did are new, fresh and just plain "kewl" Very Happy

Do we have to have the patches and flights match? I dont care if they match. I just care what they look like.

Don't have to match and in fact, won't.

I plan to do different patches and flights over the years so that we have different themes and well, they can become collectors items too Smile

I would love a small collection of each!

    Cheers
