So NOW you want it automated!?!?!? Twisted Evil

I offered to write something back in October, but NOOOO, the current system was fine. I see how it is Razz

PDL, it would be nice to have the game headings sprinkled a little more frequently throughout the rankings instead of just at the top. Maybe a modulus calc every 30-40 rows or so? Or if it's easier at the top of each new color, but those Black and Brown guys might get too used to seeing if as there aren't too many of them, but us lowly green belts.....

    *NOTICE!*

John Part's "Catch 40" game will be added to the automated SEWA practice games as soon as we can twist Mark's (pdl's) arm into adding the code! Razz

As part of this addition, our current 100@Bull's game will be changed to 50@Bulls (to save the wear and tear on dartboards).

For those of you with 100@Bulls scores, your score will be cut in half (rounding up).

The SEWA Game Rules have also been updated so go check them out and add YOUR best Catch 40 score!

Silly question I'm sure, but I noticed it keeps track of history:

Are we supposed to enter in each practice sessions scores, or just when we beat the previous high for a game?

You only need to adjust a score whenever you beat a previous best.

Just a thought, but since you're keeping the history anyway (I'm not sure how far back it goes), it would be nice to be able to see where I've been slumping or stumbling.

It shouldn't be too hard to still have the rankings based on the MAX value in the table.

You could even show the average of your last seven or ten practices.

There's a few reasons not to do that. First of all, Mark (pdl) has already been over-abused making the code work for the table as it is (and we're already asking for changes! Razz ). Secondly, the history is there to allow us to keep an eye on people posting unbelievable scores. Finally, if you make a mistake when you enter a score you can go back and fix it.

Makes sense. Don't think I don't appreciate it the way it is. I'm sure a lot of work went into it, and is still going into maintaining and upgrading it.

Anyway, finally made yellow belt, so I can go to sleep now Laughing

Mark(pdl) has completed the renovations to the practice table!!!

Be among the first to get your Catch 40 scores in and watch your position soar.

Am I going crazy or did '50 @ bulls' used to be '100 @ bulls'?

If it was always 50 then I need to seriously make an adjustment.

Wow, and you're already back to a 493 Rank? Was that after just a few new attempts at each practice game? It would be interesting if some other top guys did that. Kind of freshens things up a bit on the ol' Practice Score Rankings.

Been trying these new darts for a week-doing the practice games for the last three days-played out all the games last night and this morning and used them as my new scores. Now I will be trying to beat them as I am becoming more comfortable with my stroke and darts.I have not been able to beat my old scores or even come close over the past year. This will freshen things up a bit and bring some spark to my practices.I have found that my grip is now much more consistant with the Mervyn King darts and the added weight(about a gram and a half)now 23 grams has seemed to tame my ever increasing wayward shots. It's probably more mental than anything, but I now like the direction my game is going in. Great idea, I've been considering doing the same thing. I managed to up one PB by a grand total of 1, and couldn't come close to most of the others over the past year. Wiping them out might help me find that competitive focus that seems to be on vacation when I fall so short of my PB's. Clearing the slate could only help my practice routines.

Just posted my scores from last night. Man I forgot how nerve racking these games are. My wife kept asking me who I was talking to, as I kept playing Laughing Laughing Laughing Don't know where I am, and I'm not sure I want to know at this point. It may be to depressing.
