Yes, we now have a new method for entering your SEWA Practice scores!

Due to the fact that we are now headed towards having 120 participants and there's no way I can keep the rankings updated in a timely manner (I've got a backlog of about 25 updates as I write this), you can now enter your OWN scores.

Go to the Home page (use the "Home" link under the "SEWA Links" area on the left of your screen to get there), then look at the middle of the links on the right side of your screen and you'll see an area called "Member Stuff" (right above the "Top User Points" area). Within that area is a "Practice Rankings" link that you can click on to update your practice game results.

This new area, programmed by PDL, will do some basic error checking as well as awarding belts and welcoming new participants.

Some of the existing scores have already been added so we'll still have to catch up on a few, but now you can enter your own updates instead of waiting for me to do it for you.

Now, don't think that we're just going to forget about you guys there, logic has been created to keep the changes that are being made and we will be checking the scores periodically for any that don't appear to be correct or consistent (in fact, researching this found one "fake" participant already).

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I'll go over them with PDL and others as needed. Very Happy

Thanks for automating the practice board. however if we are just updating 1 score, does it require us to re-add all our previous entries so it will take the new score ?

I think you have to put in a zero in scores not being updated.
    Great job PDL.
Great job O&G for the idea.
Craig enjoy some more time at the oche man. You deserve it.

Very, very, nice. Now I that I've posted my initial scores I can work on improving them. Of course I won't be happy until I get up there with Frank and Dave. Hmmmm, sounds like an AM radio talk show:

Frank: "Welcome to the Frank and Dave show, where we talk about nothing but darts and ignore everything else!"
Dave: "huh, huh, huh, he said BUTT!!"

    But I digress....

Nice work guys. We all appreciate the effort!

I think that would wipe out your previous score, no? I don't know about anyone else, but my scores stay in the boxes so when I adjust something it submits all of the them anyway. Not sure how it will work if you only want to update one score and your prior scores are not there... Mark?

Once you have entered a set of scores they will be populated in the boxes.

For subsequent updates, only change the values that you wish to update. Leave all the others.

The values in the boxes will always show the last set that you saved.

That's great that this is now automated. Are belt graduations automated or announced anywhere? I love seeing who is moving up the list.

Very good system you got there - I was very happy to have a new score to add to it tonight. 35 in BH RTW!

One thing though.. I liked to see recent updates on the previous system so I could see how my rivals were doing and what I had to do to catch them up again. Only a minor complaint though.

Now if only I could get greenbelt-type scores for bob27 and 100 20's... I really dunno why I suck so much at 20's compared to everyone around me in the rankings. Embarassed

    THis is a beautiful thing!

    Absolutely class act!

I have to admit that going back to the Dartplayer days when Taechon, Craig and I and a few others were talking about practice scores and my article and thread called 'What's your score' I never would have imagined that it would eventually come to Craig and Blackhorse and then Craig would run with it and make something so well organized which then eveolved even further to PDL and OnAndGones new block on SEWA.

This is simply amazing! Fantastic! SuperUber Awesome!

Now, if only I could get back to practicing so I can join Jester and Rainman up there somewhere!

Cheers and awesome stuff Craig, Gregg, Mark and Mike!

I agree on this comment too. Possibly a future enhancement that would be more beneficial after people get their initial scores in.

The only reason we ask for more is because you guys do such a great job with the things you've done.

It sucks to not have scores for all the games. I just bettered by 100 20's last night, so I had a real update to put in. I guess I have to do the other games this weekend, so I don't feel like such a LOSER..

I am happy and sad at the same time. After not being able to touch my PBs for many many months, I have evolved in my throw and in dart choice and finally have broken a record of mine.

Here I can put it into this great, amazing system, it really is so cool and terrific. Very Happy

But I am sad that I can't submit it to CB after all this time! It was also cool to put it through the Chairman of the Board. Sad

I hear you BH- another person replaced by a machine!

But look at the bright side (there is always one)- the time CB used to spend doing practice scores can now be better spent answering our questions in the forums. So, we are all better for the automation.
