Just wondering what the most popular color for flights are (or predominant color). I presentally use http://www.a-zdarts.com/flts/bgstandard1.asp Top right I had used Unicorn Simpsons but my choices are limited in the US. I switched to Unicorn"lock stock and 3 smocking barrells" but now am using the above. Let us know what type you use and color along with what reason you use them.

I've never seen it, and at one time I searched the archives of Bullseye News vigorously. I heard that someone did research to see if players threw better using a certain colored flight. I was told the research came back and they said players using black flights scored higher. It was because player were less distracted by the black flights. Basically the black flights and shafts disapear into the Dart board color scheme.

I've never seen a difference myself. I use all different colors.

Yes I do, but they have my nickname on them in a foil containing the colors blue, green and (of course) purple!

MzzThang, that is just SCREAMING for a pic!

Myself I use clear. I tried using black for a few weeks but went back to the clear (any Barry Bonds related jokes will not be tolerated).

That said I'm not sure if it was that or the absence of flight protectors that caused me to not feel right..

I prefer a darker color, blue, black etc. it is less distracting to me. I have also used dark red and even clear.

As an aside, I used to use one odd color flight. I had a tendency to go to the line and trhow before I was ready. I used the odd flight to slow me down. I would throw that one first, but i had to take the time to find it.

OK, not the best pic (had to use my camera phone). The colors are much brighter than this. The orangy color is actually a pinkish/purple.I use three different colored aluminum shafts and matching flight protectors with them as well: blue, green and (of course) purple!

I haven't really settled on one style yet. I prefer the Ruthless flights, but as far as style goes it's really a crap shoot. A am a bit partial to the black ones with the eyes, but I liked the clears as well.

In the pic, the ones on the right are mine, and the ones on the left are my wife's (she just got her own set of darts. Very Happy

LOL! We don't do them ourselves (yet), but we certainly can have them done for you. You can have photo flights done, with company logos, family pictures, etc. or names done in hot foil printing (like mine).

We can also have personalized white nylon shafts done with a name or slogan.

They start at $2.00 per set (minimum of 10 sets). Of course, the more you purchase, the lower the cost! If you're interested, PM me and I can PM you the rest of the details.

I use yellow standard poly flights, not too sure how I came to using them, I did have a yellow car once so that may be it!

Tried all sorts of flights, used Dimplex for a while, but still go back to yellow. Gave the Ruthless R4X a try (in yellow!!) but didnt get on with them as well as the normal poly. A lots in the mind I think....

Canadian flag, British flag, English flag, Scottish flag.

In practice I use up ones that came with the darts..........except for my new Signature darts from Unicorn via BlackBull, I ain't ever using those.

So, what would be the closest color to "clear" on this thing?

I usually shoot white or light colors (NFL GB Packer from A-Z). Seems to give me something to aim at after a good first dart.

Kind of opposite to the "distracting" point of view I guess.
