What I find interesting is that my darts are flying much better than they used to. In the past I had a flick that caused them to almost stand upright out of the release and then swing up and down before hitting the board. Today they have a nice arc to the board.

Now if I can get them to hit where I want them to more often Wink

Too bad I didn't! Now I have a damn hitch I'm working out. Seems I keep pausing right before the throw and I can't always get rid of it.

Video coming soon. Not the best quality but great for seeing what I am doing WRONG! lol

I can see two or three glaring issues: movement, drawback shifting from outside to inside before throw (I may always have done this though) and follow through not consistent.

I'm wondering if you might not be better off just starting off on the inside. Unless it is habit/comfort I don't see the point of starting on the outside.

LOL me neither but it's been the way I've thrown so long I don't know if I can change it.

Then maybe don't change it then or if you do be prepared for a lot of work I'd think. I don't think it would specifically throw off your accuracy, but might make it harder to throw the same way each and every time.

Watch this one Wayne Mardle did -- interesting points and emphasizes my issue I think.

Last night watching my partner who throws a lot like Mardle (and he's very good too) and I got to thinking about my own throw and realized that I am pretty darn certain I do not normally throw the way I have been in these videos!

Funny how something can seem normal for a while (while everything isn't working too) so last night I kept making the motion of throwing with my arm parallel to the floor and it felt so right and I thought "why did a change this?" and decided to NOT mess around last night in league with it (good thing too) but intend to work on that now that league is over (playoffs in a couple weeks).

Working on this today and have seen some improvement. Much better and closer to my old throw. I hadn't realized how much I'd changed it since injuring my shoulder! Now I'm starting to get it down again without all the crazy movement.

Still not perfect, unlikely to ever be, but much better.
