    "Who's Gary Numan?" everyone asks.

He sang Cars back in 1978. He is still around today and has a new album and tour.

I get to meet this man! For 30 years this has been a fantasy of mine. Of course I have to travel about 25 hours round trip on a bus with an additional 14 hours of layovers but it will be worth every miserable moment.
He'll be in Pontiac, MI for the record, 3/28 and I am leaving in 15 hours.

I'm going to have him sign the first album of his I ever bought.

Still can't believe it. This came about only in the last 24 hours. Usually, only bad things happen that fast.

Maybe later I'll tell you how it all happened but for now I'm sooo tired and I have a long 3 days ahead of me.

    Regards,

    Joe

It's always nice when a fantasy comes true. The travel may suck, but the good memories will override that part. Have fun.

Now I have that song stuck in my head. But at least it got rid of the one that was stuck all morning Laughing

Remember that the travel is part of the journey. Having to struggle through that will only make getting what you want even more rewarding.

    Enjoy!

Ahhhh, so glad to be home!!!!! 94 hours of misery but 2 really good hours too.

I got the autograph, picture, talked with him and in the end even got his water bottle.

This was in Pontiac, Mi. I stayed in a motel that I found out later was used exclusively by drug users and prostitutes. I won't described this place but I have no doubt this is true. And the McDonalds across the street was the "Hood Mac Donalds". And in the end the proprietor ripped me off.

This was the Sagano Motel by the way. Don't go here!
