I may not have the first round results up until Friday as I have many errands to do before tonight's dart league match.

Wild first round matches so far! Shocked

With Denis Ovens bowing out of the competition, does that change the impact of the brackets?

    Thanks,

not sure what you mean, the brackets are determined before the tournament and they don't change. Munch will be playing Steve Farmar in the 2nd round and then the Klaasen/Wade winner.

The announcement at the end of the broadcast was that Denis Ovens withdrew and Much was given a "Bye" into the next round. Based on that I would have to say that the Munch v. Ovens match earns no points in the contest, and Ovens is out and can no longer earn any points. I know that this ruling could be a bit of a disappointment to those who may have picked Ovens to continue to advance, but I don't see any other reasonable alternative.

Sorry, delfam; I did a terrible job with wording this question.

DT answered the real question I was trying to ask. Regardless of the impact to me, I think it is the right choice. Thank you, DT.

He's the player sponsored by the SOD Forum at the moment Laughing .

So I can say I helped two players to get to the PDC World Championship:
    Justin Pipe and James Richardson!

No one picked Richardson on their bracket, but the real question is.... WTF happened to Barney?!! Shocked

Well I would have to say the Richardson is a feather in the cap of the SOD sponsorship scheme!

You can have a look at everyone's brackets at the following link:
But first an explanation of the highlighting...

    1. All selections that are still active on you bracket have been highlighted.

    2. All selections that have earned you points have been highlighted in yellow.

    3. All selections that on your sheet that have no highlighting did not and cannot earn you any points for the rest of the contest.

    4. The "Official Results" sheet have all winners highlighted in yellow, and maximum point totals possible listed by round.

The Scholten v. Wayne Jones match could help clarify the picture.

You and Trainer pick Scholten and Charis picks Jones....
