In the last 2 years I have introduced a dogged practice regimen.

As a result my darts have blossomed however there are some side affects. Mainly I over do it and then I skip days, weeks, months and even contemplate quitting. At that point the season seems longggggg and it disturbs me to see my game slide.

Then I have to locate that passion once again and rebuild it.

What can I do to anticipate, check my dart pulse and avoid over training ?

I know exactly what you mean. For a few months there, you're on fire and 180's are flowing no matter what set of darts you put in your hand. Then the next few months, darts seems like a chore and you start second guessing whether you even want to do it anymore when you can't find any triples or doubles. Wiring everything next door. Very frustrating. Currently, for the past few weeks, I seem to be on the up swing of things though.

I think it's due to a lot more than just darts. Be it job, girlfriend, money issues, lack of sleep, etc...

The mind is a very fragile thing and the game of darts lets you know what state of mind you are in for sure.
