Premier League predictions contest - Rules.
    - Each week predict the outcome and the scoreline of each match
    example:
    Week One Fixtures February 10
    Mark Webster 8-5
Gary Anderson v Simon Whitlock - draw

    - 3 points are possible for each match, 1 point for predicting the correct winner and 2 points for the correct score line. You must predict the winner of the match and the score line correctly to get the 3 points.

    - Weekly winners will earn a chance to predict the outcome of the playoff matches. The winner of the playoff predictions will win a set of darts form Unicorn! If a weekly winner has already won the next highest point total for the week will earn a place in the playoff prediction contest.

There will be a weekly thread to where you will post your predictions for the week. That thread will be locked just prior to the start of the day's matches. Any predictions time stamped later than the time the thread is locked will be deleted.

Look in the PDC section of the Forum for the weekly predictions threads.

Weekly lineups can be found at:

Am I to understand correctly that since I "won" the first week, there is no gain or benefit to me playing any of the following 13 weeks of the Premier League game?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Well - I think we missed that point when we discussed the rules Wink .

You can of course enter the contest every week - no problem with this. I'll talk to dart_talker and we'll see whether we can come up with some kind of special price for the person who won the most weekly contests...

But should you win every time we wouldn't have a Play-off...

I just have to say - woohoo, I got 7 points this week! (and tied for 1st, somehow)

I would love to see this contest continue next season, but maybe we can have use a cumulative scoring scenario instead? Somebody could get lucky with 12 points in a given week, but picking more winners over the long haul may be a better indicator.

Just a suggestion. Either way, this has been fun and I'm looking forward to the next two weeks.

Congrats on the big score this week!

Cumulative might be something to do next season. Let's hope we can keep the interest level high enough so we can keep these contest going!

Going forward with ideas for next year , I think picking a tie like Dart talker did this week should be worth more that 3 since a small percentage of matches really end up 7 - 7 ?

Also , Joe is right. There needs to be some incentive to the winner/winners that win early on to keep participating in the latter weeks ? just my opinions !
