Since I have read that there are many A div. players willing to move up to S.A. next season, why shouldn't they play in the S.A. bracket in the singles tournament.

I say yes. What better way to prepare them for the transitioning to S.A. Better they find out in 1 day, if it's really what they want to do, than have to spend a whole season wondering why they did it. JMHO.

i say yes cuz i want it to have more than 16 entries...

also ... cuz "A" is the highest division partaking in the standard format... and they are all able to shoot with us on any given day.

According to Jakesy, there are at least 40 A div. players, who wanted to move up next season. If this is the case, it is better tu suffer through 1 day, than a whole season.

That 40 is still a small % of the complete A division.

I'm not trying to argue, just trying to put the other side out there.

I say if those that want to play SA on that day should be able to "play UP" to the division.
anyone should be able to play up if they want.

I just think that SA should be on its own. SA shooters play 501 every week (which is the singles format) and could have the advantage in that aspect because the rest of the league does not play 501 on Tuesdays.

Maybe the BOD could have some sort of survey
    Just a thought.

That's fine, but what about the teams that were forced to play S.A. how fair is it to them, that they have to play us, but the rest of the A doesn't.

what about all the "b" players that dont want to play against "A"?

    there are 16 b brackets and only 8 A....

    far more complaints from them...

    then separate it by division

    A plays A
    B plays B
    C plays C
    and so on...
    with option to play up.

I mean there's going to be an argument for each scenerio.

it's just my opinion that SA should be on their own. SA has their own format and seem somewhat separate because of that during the season, why not on that day?

I guess just let the BOD make the decision... the singles had people coming out to play years ago. I remember having some good turnouts when it was in Norwood or even the Weymouth Elks... what was done then?

    I know Rob.. I wasn't 100% serious about that.

and with the sandbagging that you mentioned with people playing down when they shouldn't be... the AD should know who the players in their areas are and where they belong.

what about all the "b" players that dont want to play against "A"? .

The A divs and B divs are closer together than A and Super A are.I know alot of people that won't play if A is to play with Super A.They don't wanna donate thier money if they have no shot at winning.

not many have a shot at winning regardless of what division they play...

only 1 can win in the end...

it has always been, super a and a b and c and d and below why all the problems now? maybe that is why we never get any a players to come and play which is silly considering that "40" or so a players want to go to super a in the fall Rolling Eyes

since SA came back just last season and it was A and SA last season i dont think your facts are correct....

    SA and A
    B and C
    D and E (and below)

those were the groupings... and they seem fair enough to me... but what do i know...
personally i figure it is all one league and we should just have one tourney and see who wins it!

there was pleanty of participation from the players in "A" even though they had "NO CHANCE"...
