Just curious as an outsider what format you play (301, 501, Cricket) how many games etc. Also does this all take place in one location or....? Is it just a Round Robin season or are there playoffs? Any info would be greatly appreciated for I am looking to get one going over in Manchester Nh.

There were a few uneven matches, but I think players on both ends of them were surprised by some. Looking forward to everyone coming out gunning in week2.

Thanks for the good first week, everyone! =)

I set us up a league on leaguerepublic.com, which can be found here:

    http://portlandsingles.leaguerepublic.com/

I'll work on expanding the scoring more and a few more details, but it is at least a rudimentary setup people can use to track the season and the division standings.

Please if I spelled anyone's name wrong let me know, and I apologize if I did. And I am holdin onto the score sheets, so since I entered the scores myself, PLEASE let me know asap if something doesn't look right to you, and I (or we) will get it double-checked.

And if there are suggestions or whatever feel free to make them.

    Very Happy Mr. Rochester,
Read the stats from Thursday night's matches. BRILLIANT! I played for PADA this past Spring League so I am used to viewing stats in the League Republic format. Thanks. Hope you are diligent and accurate with your stats. I am sure you will be. I look forward to monitoring all of this and THANK YOU for your effort to do this. I very much appreciate it and GOOD LUCK to you, shoot well and thanks again. Have fun!
PS. Perhaps you could have a 'correspondent' observing the matches then adding details and highlights from these as well. I'm sure there would be some great 'drama' and flat-out exciting play. Would make terrific reading here. Just a suggestion. Thanks again!

Oh, absolutely! I'm all for observers and more detailed account of the matches as well. We can also set it up fairly easily so people just enter their own scores... I just figured if we want to keep the scoresheets together from previous weeks or whatnot, it may be easier to just have one person do it. And I will be trying to tweak the stuff more to track cricket and 501 stats as well as totals for more detail for the players or observers. Highlights as well (we we have from last week, but have not been entered).

Also, people fill out their scoresheets in different ways. Some people make Xs, some make 1s, some people label their games 1,2,3,4,etc. as they win their legs - and it is always possible I make a mistake reading or entering stats - but I think I'm pretty good at monkey work like that... Laughing

Yea having observations on matches would be great!!!
Cause I shot like "POOP" against Scott D. My excuse was my damn back. From now on I am not moving anything to set up the boards. I am to much of a wuss anymore. Just getting to damn old and fraile.

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Anyone got a big towel for me...

Wow! Awesome guys! I didn't expect more than a few names and numbers, but to get it on the LR?! Nice Isaac! I think adding highlights would be about all you need--but do me a favor, when it comes to the playoffs or whatever the finale is, please don't post scores as 1-0! I hate that during regular league when you can't even tell what a playoff match was like.

Sorry your back was buggin Andy, but I bet a lot of those legs were closer than the final score! Not to mention Scott's purdy good Very Happy Looks like Thomas had an off night too! Wink No worries tho, better to be off the first week than the last week! There were lots of exciting match-ups--Tammie and CO, Sam and DaveN, Chris and Jake, among others...

I just want to say thanks to all who helped pull this together--those of us that couldn't play are certainly happy to hear about it--maybe I can make it down one of these Thursdays and do a little observing... Laughing

    Great job all.

    Thanks, Thorn!

I've updated the stats to include highlights from last week, and game differentials for cricket and '01. When it comes to highlights, I've started with just everything that PADA normally tracks (7,8,9 counts and white horses in cricket; high score [120+], 180s, and high outs [100+] in 501). I know that the better players may not be interested in how many 121s they hit, etc. so people can just keep whichever stats they want to in general.

I can (or whomever) can input a "match report" for any matches planned. I think it would be awesome to have an observer (or even different person every week) reporting on a match. Maybe that is something we can do next time... like a "featured match" or "showdown of the week" type thing. Let me know if you're interested when you're around Thorn. Or maybe you'd like to do something like that for the playoffs/finals? Smile

Anyway, glad people like what the setup looks like and looking forward to next week!!! Very Happy

Stats from last night's matches has been updated on the LR site.http://portlandsingles.leaguerepublic.com

Special note for soft-tippers playing in the Medalist league:

As it is my understanding the next two weeks are the playoffs for the Medalist league and some people will have conflicts, PLEASE be proactive about rescheduling your matches. If you need to know who you play, need help contacting them etc., just contact Andy, Christina or myself and I'm sure we will gladly help out - I know I will.
