    Hey All,

I know it is Memorial Day weekend, and should be nice weather, but the Almost Summer Shoot is down at the Triple Nickel (3646 SE Belmont) this Saturday. If you are like me and are not gone all weekend, come down Saturday! We have the whole long weekend to enjoy the outdoors!!

In any case, I'm hoping for a good crowd as it should be a lot of fun for those of us who can make it. It is an A/B Draw, so we should have some good matches and the regular blast.

    Sign-ups @ 1:30pm and
    Start @ 2pm

    $10 entry / $5 added

Hope to see lots of people there!!! (Or even if not, have an awesome Mem. day and party hard and safe!)

This is a prime example of getting the info out in a more timely manner.
Only found out about this shoot just last week.
PADA has got to really work on this.
Sorry I did'nt have enough time to talk the wife into going.. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I completely agree. Part of the low turnout was the Memorial Day weekend timing and the great weather, but if it was advertised more in advance I think more people would have been there.

I think the same thing goes for the awards ceremony at the A&L last week. I was glad to see so many people stick around for the LOD, but wish more people were there to get their awards...

I think it was a terrible timing! It was obvious that people are out of town the long beautiful weekend. So was I!!! I would have come next weekend, but not this. Especially this Saturday was splitting the complete weekend in half. Most of the people took Friday of to go camping or something else.

The other point of you guys are absolutely reasonable, too. 2 weeks in advance a notification about a shoot is not enough. Usually you should plan your seasonal shots at least 4 month in advance. My complete shoots were scheduled 8 month in advance!

    Cheers

    Thomas

Thomas - Keep in mind that for several years The Oregon Open was on Memorial Day Weekend so many people changed plans and stuck around town for the event. As far as notification, that is an issue, I had a few people ask me in the weeks prior of I knew of anything that was happening over Memorial Day weekend, unfortunately I wasn't aware of the Triple Nickel Shoot at the time. Sad

Along the same lines, I am definitely into talking up events before they happen to increase interest and sign-ups.

I think there are at least a few things going on this summer...

Isn't there something next month in June?

Isn't the outdoor shoot at the Moon and Six the middle of July?

I know we will all have more stuff going on this summer, but if there is enough interest (there usually is from me) I would be totally into running a few random draws or tourneys with some people this summer!

The more darts, the more better!!! =)

Double check with Rich but I believe we talked about the Outdoor Open being on July 18th at the Moon & Sixpence.

    Tacoma Open is July 24th & 25th

Water Follies (Richland, WA) is July 31 - Aug 2.

Those are the events I'm aware over the summer in our area, outside of the Friday nights at various locations each month.

Christina, you may not be on the board anymore but between you and Craig and Rich the PADA seems to have only 3 people doing much of anything.
Keep up the good work you 3
