Last night I had the pleasure of meeting bobcat, and adding another SEWAnaut to my met-in-person-list (nice shooting bob) and it got me thinking. First, it's kinda strange and fun and exciting to meet the people behind the avatars. Second, although I have read posts and websites, emailed, pm-ed, and corresponded with so many of them it feels like I know them, it made me wonder really how many I have knowingly met in person.

I'd say I know about 20+...That means I can match their face and SEWA name. I got some big site names in there like The Commandant, BH, CraigB, and many more, although most are right here in Portland...

How many do you know? Very Happy

I can come up with 20 people without any problem... too lazy to try to think if I've topped 50, lol. If you count lurkers, I am sure I am over 50 tho. Wink

    It's a great family.

With the ease of internet communication, I feel I have "met" more than just the ones I have been in the same room with.

Because of SEWA, and SOLELY because of SEWA, I have met and shot with two World Champions.

(rob, we did get to play a few warm-ups! Twas great, I know I snuck one game off him but I mostly remember a couple of drubbings he gave me in cricket!) Laughing

Speaking of bobcat, it'll be interesting to see how many of the Boston folks know eachother...

Cool I am easily in the 20-50 range, could be higher though I probbaly can't match the faces to the signons.

Gene, I am currently planning to do VA Beach this year so if you're there keep your eyes peeled and maybe we can add to your SEWA sightings.

We are very fortunate here, Thorn. We have the opportunity to see each other on a regular basis - having a coupe of league nights and a pretty full tournament schedule.

A great group we have in this area, too - great shooters (representing ALL abilities) and great people.....

I put in for 20-50 but I'll bet if I sat down and tried to count them I might get 50-100. There is such a large contingent of us in the Boston area!

I voted 20 - 50, but I realized it is over 100. Most I knew prior to SEWA, but since I joined I have met quite a few, and hope to meet many more in time.

It's definately over 100 if you play in the MMDL and have done so for a while.
