Andy, I hope the cape doesn't get in the way of your follow through. You look great in those blue tights by the way. I'll be using my new darts, the SKK 22's - made by Unicorn, the Souprman Killer Kyptonite 22 grams.

    Very Happy

My Kryptonite didn't work yesterday! He played 2 times like we know Andy (SOUPR) and of course just the 1st and the last match of the evening! And guess who was his opponent twice - yeah of course myself Sad

SOUPR, just remember Adam outranks you by a few bars and stripes... (although it would be a toss-up as to which one of you has actually spent more time in bars, or behind bars wearing stripes...) Cool

BTW: Thomas, nice events you've put together... but you should have remembered our arrangement (you know, the one where I get to face Wayne in the first round next week...) Shocked Wink

PhilK! Great seeing you again and getting in a couple "extra innings"! (but hey, my SEWA rank don't mean diddly! SOUPR's input totally outranks mine, IMHO!)

MikeBaxter?!? Hope you can make it down for the finale!

Thanks for all the info up front Thomas!

Adam, it was good to get schooled by you after the event on Saturday... that's what a good teacher does, right? Looking forward to Saturday when I can maybe improve my 'grades' just a bit. See you there.

Cool pk! I just took a longer look at the seeds, and there you are too! Looks like we might bump into eachother--if we get past our first opponents!

I'm looking forward to the tie-breaker for that 16th spot! Ian vs. Tammie! On one hand, I'd love to see Tammie win it--not only is one of the best women players in town, but then we could have a Mr. & Mrs. SOUPR match which is always fun to watch! But on the other hand, Ian probably could have been in the top 5 seeds had he been able to play more of the qualifiers...so, that's a win-win for all of us PADA dart fans... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

As for myself, I just hope to keep learning and improving, and having another great time! (Thank goodness the NBA Finals aren't on Saturday!)

Hey thanks, Adam. I may not have played greatly consistent, but had a few games I was genuinely proud of. Mostly just fun to play some games with all you guys!

Next time I'll have to go from the start and see if I can do a bit better! =)

I wish I hadn't felt like absolute crap, and still do really. But would have loved to stick around and play a few games afterwards...

I made my room reservation last night. I'll be down Friday evening for the LOD and stay the night for Saturday.

Thomas, what is the format? Best of five legs all the way through? One-and-done, or winners and losers?

If you need the extra motivation this week I suggest hanging a banner above your practice board that reads, "What have you done today to beat SOUPR and BobCat???" Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yeah, I'm also wondering about the format... I'm in big favor of a double-bracket, because I'm always better in the loser's bracket. Sad, but true. I do like the idea of the motivational banner, BTW.

Adam, the only thing about that playoff between Tammie and Ianto that kinda dampens it just a bit... the winner gets Superman. Of course, that scenario would make for a humongous upset, now wouldn't it..? Twisted Evil

It will be Double Elimination, but I posted this already a while ago!

I have 2 options for the game layout

    Option 1

We will start with best of 5 for the first 2 rounds.

On the winners side we will change to Best of 3 of 3 in round 3

On the loser side we will change to Best of 3 of 3 in round 5.
This is the round when the losers of the winners semi arrive on the losers side.

    Option 2

Best of 5 all the way through both sides

Of course version 1 is way longer, but also more interesting!

What is your guys opinion? Give me your votes!

PhilK, you are a funny little man...........and if you want to buy me a drink I just might take you up on that Twisted Evil

All you have to do is take out Randy Slipher, and then the winner of the Bloody Brawl of Wayne Cree and D. Fletcher. Also if I can make it through my first 2 matches........I take nothing for granted, no matter who I play.

That all has to happen for you PhilK to have your dream match.........No problem.....right???
