Here is a question: How many of you would like to be able to blog at SEWA-Darts.com?

I am considering adding a blog to the site for you, the uers, to be able to have your own blog.

Let me know what kind of interest there is.
    Thanks!
    Erik

There seem to be several members of the forum with stuff to say, and it would be cool for them to have their own formats in which to express themselves. Would forum member be able to make the blog content abot anything they wish?

    Thanks for the reply.

I don't see why they couldn't use the blog for anything they wish to -- provided it isn't profane or inflamitory (I wouldn't want it to dimish the reputation SEWA has built).

So as long as they follow some simple guidelines (which I would have to establish) I can't see why they couldn't use it anyway they wanted.

I would also provide the service free as a 'perk' for being a SEWA member. Smile

I'd like to keep a blog, just so I can use it as a journal of sorts so I can track my progress, my league's progress, and express my opinions and get a response if requested.

    You already offer a Journal.
    what would be the difference?
I don't use the journal, so I don't think I would use the blog.

With all the funny stories that you write I would think that people would want to read your material in a blog.

I do offer a journal now and several users are making use of it, however I think a blog addition would add the ability for you, the user, to taylor your blog's appearnce and style to your personal preference.

Of course adding a blog will add used webspace, but I am willing to make one available if you the users enjoy it and make use of it.

I still have to work out details on how to do it, but it shouldn't be too hard.

to be technical, a journal can be a blog, but a blog isn't always a journal.

I would think a journal would be more on the private side - not even dart related - and something you wouldn't want to share with others, while a blog would be more like an editorial or commentary meant for others to enjoy and comment.

For the record, I already have a dart blog at blogspot. So I likely would not use one here. However, I think you absolutely SHOULD offer a "community" blogspace so that people can post pictures. Either that or you should create a sewa gallery.

I have tremendously enjoyed blogging. More than I ever thought I would. I encourage people to at least try it.
