Due to my bulls being off lately with my highest 50@bulls scores being a paltry 32 of late I decided to try something different and instead of throwing 50 darts at the bull I reversed it and decided to throw until I hit 50 bulls. Took me 82 darts on the first attempt but I saw some decent strings of scoring in there with my best at 17 in 21 darts.

Doing some simple math shows me I was on tract to a score of 40.5 bulls in 50 darts with that round had I kept it up. Had others between 15 and 16 bulls in 21 darts but had other groups of only 9-12 and one where I hit only 7 bulls in 21 darts.

Why 21 darts? No real reason, just started shooting until I hit 10 and then moved to another row thinking that would work but just kept shooting rows of 21 after that. Next up is to shoot it again but perhaps track 24 dart strings as it will be easier to see what I do in 50 than using 7 dart strings.

This has the added benefit of looking back at strings of 50 darts to see what I was doing. If you shoot enough (say 200 darts) you will have several strings of 50 darts in there actually. For example, if you start with a zero and then manage 40 bulls by the time you hit 50 darts and then shoot a 5 mark on your next throw you can toss the 0 and include the 5 (though it's 51 darts so you can't count the last dart thrown -- hopefully it's the single and not the doubles LOL)....anyway, this way you may be surprised by what's in the middle once you're warmed up and really poking them in there.
