Can't wait to pick it up next week and start making sawdust again!

The hard work is paying off..nice.

How did you seal up the plumbing? I'm having a hell of an issue with mine..old house from the 30's..

What do you mean by seal it up? Insulate?

When I'm not there I blow it out so it won't freeze and put RV Antifreeze in the P Traps. When I'm there I have R19 walls which keep it from freezing down to -22F (haven't seen colder when I was there) as long as the cabin interior is above freezing (usually in the 60s or 70s).

For the grey water drain I have it down only 18" or so but have a stock tank heater inside the tank to keep it from freezing and plan to lower it all about 2 more feet this summer.

I forgot to mention my old sawmill sold right away and the new one arrives tomorrow! I'll be in Portland to pick it up and can't wait!

For those who like the blues and enjoy watching me make lumber for my offgrid cabin in the woods Smile Here is a video of me milling a large pine into 2x8 rafters for the deck roof and 2x6 joists and floorboards for the deck.

Couldn't mill this log alone on the old mill!

I love the whole living off grid and tiny house concept. I read this mag on my iPad. Well worth a look: http://www.tinyhousemagazine.co/

I love it too but no longer live full time at the cabin (I'm there now though). It's mostly my home away from home when working in Omak (either running the sawmill or working for the phone company).

Did you see me wave as I drove past ya last week Erik? I had to go to Walla Walla for a couple of days doing a side job. Glad I went before it got really hot! I definitely prefer the cool (45 degrees to 60 is great!).
