This one I don't think has ever been polled at SEWA. So lets give it a go. All in inches. I have always used a 1 1/2 point. But have a few sets of 2 . If you use a specific point let us know.

I use a thoroughbred point or a laserdart point. Would love to try Hypos one day again. Its been a while.

No they are fixed points.I had the cone shaped shoulder rounded off ,added 5 rings on the front of the barrel and 1-1/4" hypo points.

What's the advantage to hypo points over and above 'normal' points or the ones that come standard with the Unicorns?

I've never used non-standard points. Most of my darts are Unicorn, and I have no idea what the actual point length is. There is about 1 1/8" from the end of the barrel.

I put down 1 1/4", but mine are actually a little under 1 1/8" (probably started with 1.125" out of the barrel and are slightly worn down by now?).

Not sure, but I think that front-loaded darts benefit from a shorter tip and center-loads kind of need that longer tip.

I'm surprised that Anne and Frank haven't posted here yet. They seem to be obsessed with points lately... Razz Laughing
