    BIG BRANCH, Twisted Evil

Luckly he is in the lower bracket, Hopefully we can meet at the end of the Winners bracket.

The only problem we have had is there are about another 6 or 8 players that could have done as well as Bob and myself have done. They just chose not to come out and play Crying or Very sad

    Hey Dave,

Haven't you heard, this is the land of the Beavers! All the trees are laying on the ground...

Thomas has done a great job running these tournaments. It's hard to run them and play your best at the same time. Everyone really appreciates his effort.

It will be fun regardless of the outcome.

Boy what a tough day this was................
Scotty Dozark continues to shoot really well. He followed up his win at the ADO Qualifer with a 1st place finish at the Singles Finals. Nice job Scotty you shot really well. Bob Given came through the losers bracket to knock me out at 3rd to finish in 2nd.

I wont say it was a great match that Bob and I had, just not as good as both of us have been playing. He won it though so my hats off to Bob for getting 2nd.

It just pains me to play fairly well most of the day and fall apart at the end of the winners bracket, and lose 2 matches in a row.........just hurts my ego and my back. Crying or Very sad

Good darts by all for this great seris that Thomas put on during the past 6 months. It has been a blast. Its just sad the PADA did not want to be involved.........Very Sad

So guys, my final comment to this series now!

I want to thank you all for your commitment to this tourney. I think it went out pretty well. We had 18.75 people in average at the shoots and in my opinion a really good turnout. Unfortunately there were some of the major shoots here in Portland missing, but I think this doesn't care that much!

After all shoots there are some facts pretty obvious!

    1. Andy Campbell seems to be THE MAN to beat if you want to win a tourney here in Portland - SCOTT DOZARK did it in the finals and he won!!!

    2. Dartoholics doesn't care how far to drive to shoot a good competition - Therefore my special thanks to Mike Baxter and "Bobcat" Bob Given.

    3. I need to practice more Wink

I hope all of you guys enjoyed the tourneys and maybe I will run another series, but for now - I need a break!!!

    Here the Finals in numbers

    1. Scott Dozark
    2. Bob Given
    3. Andy Campbell
    4. Randy Slipher
    5. Wayne Cree & Mike Baxter
    7. Greg Lunday & Bud Elzea

9-16 is secret Wink - I was there Sad

Congrats, guys! Wish I could have seen the final, but had a camping trip a long time in the planning this weekend.

I hope a lot of you guys can do the singles league this summer - I liked playing with you all and hope for more chances! Very Happy

My biggest disappointment is that I didn't get to play Scott, Bob, or Andy on Saturday. (In fact, three events and I have yet to play Bob at all... WTH?!) Scott and I knocked each other out in the previous two events, and Andy still has my number from the first one. Evil or Very Mad Next time I'll keep my head and wits about me long enough to see myself through! Twisted Evil

Thanks again, Thomas, and everyone whom I met and got to know better! See you next time... Very Happy

Thats a great idea Mr Baxter but sadly Mr Given will be vacationing back east for about a month or so.

Maybe I can come up with another plan.........

    To be announced later.............

Great shooting everyone, and a special great shooting to Mr Givens, who was with us first.

Thomas, seems your tournament was a great success. Nice job. I am sure everyone appreciated all your hard work.

Well now that this seris is over I think we really did not find a true #1 player in Portland.

I believe what we have is about a half dozen that on any day could claim the title.

What we did not have was all of the capabile players involved. Alan Poole, Bill Denis, Chris Ricci just to name a few that I would most like to have seen at these events.

Anyway I don't need to list who I think these players are, but we all have a good idea who we are.

Was truely a whole lot of fun, hopefully we can do it again in the fall with all the best playing.

I will leave it at that.

Actually, I seriously doubt you'll be able to even get close to a true test until the economy gets rosy again and all of the contenders can play at the same time. Wink

Yep. Only played once and my doubles were off so I didn't make it even to semis that day. I knew it wasn't going to be good when I'm shooting at a 14-dart game and, 13 darts later, I'm still on a double... Confused
