You can watch the 132 Finish and the almost two nine-darters leg here as well:

It really was agreat final, though it did happen as I supposed, James couldn´t keep up his great match over the full distance.
Somewhere I read, the crowd was horribly noisy and at least James Wade did feel distracted several times.

PT is just incredible!!! How many world class players have made a successful change in their equipment at such an advanced stage!?? Taylor went from his slim straight, long barreled dart, to those nose -heavy stubbier Lowe styled darts, like it was a walk in the park!! Truly amazing!! And his leg averages go through the roof, too!!?? Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that that match ranks right up there with any athletic performance period -- and by that I mean the Wimbledon final this year of Nadal vs. Federer and the US Open final between Tiger and Rocco Mediate. I was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE MATCH and felt physically spent when it was done. Phil's tears were deservedly earned. I can't imagine seeing that performance between two darters equaled in my lifetime. I know that's a alot to say (especially because I'm 27) but seriously...

My friend watched the whole match today and was without words to describe it. I'm buying the DVD the moment I can.

I really have to chuckle a little bit, when you look back a year or a year and a half ago, and there were a considerable amount of people saying that Phil had "lost his stuff" and should consider retiring. They were saying that he had lost his desire to compete, that he no longer held an edge over the competition, and that, perhaps, his age was beginning to get the best of him, etc.. I wonder.....what these people are thinking now? Just when you think that there's no possible way he could improve his incomparable portfolio, he goes out and puts on an almost inhuman performance like this. Incredible.

This is not to say that Wade should hang his head in shame. The darts he threw were brilliant, but Phil has once again proven, beyond a doubt, who is king of the oche, until further notice. Like him or not, he's nearly unstoppable.
