Have not logged on in about 2 weeks. And only 1 page of new posts. And this is the World Number One in Dart related forums?

The gauge used to determine a sites popularity is hits and unique visitors Scotty. This site continues to outpace other forums on the net in that regard even though the members don't always post new topics.

I must admit I'm a little confused by this post from Scotty -- a site advertiser no less.

For one, anyone who's spent any time on the site knows that there is more to the site then the forums alone, furthermore, that people read the site on a scale of about 100 to one (less then 10% of visitors register and of those less then 10% post -- and this is normal across the board and has been the case for years).

Having said all of that, the internet rating agency's don't base their ratings on perception (as Scotty must certainly do), not on post counts (though ours is very high). Nor on the amount of new posts Scotty sees when he logs in, but rather on a set standard of visitors and various metrics related to them.

Is SEWA/Dartplayer always number one in the overall rankings? No. Is it often number 1? Yes. Has it been there on that list for longer then all of the rest? YES. 8 Years is a long time for any forum to exist on the net and considering was around for about 3 years before SEWA and considering the URL is in fact then in all actuality this site or some rendition of it has been on the net for 11 or 12 years...and that, my dear friend along with the amazing amount of traffic to the site does indeed make it more then just plausible that the site is the World Number One.

Phil Taylor doesn't always win matches, nor does, but like Phil, we're the site to beat no matter how you decide to cut the cake.

Let's make one thing perfectly clear. I am not a site advertiser. I simply work for one. My opinions are my own.

And to suggest post count and content isn't why people visit a FORUM site, IMHO clearly makes you ether delusional or you ego does not allow you to see it any other way.

Me, like most I would imagine, judge forum sites based on content and participation. Something this site has lacked for quite some time. The popular opinion is that you personally ran off a good amount of people. Like it or not, that's the popular opinion.

You initial reply was enough to satisfy my original comments. But you decided 14 hours later to try and throw me personally under the bus? Why did membership all disappear again?

And perception is what people base their opinions on most! (IMHO) If you perceive all chevy trucks are crap, what's the chances you will go buy a chevy truck?

Going around quoting stats means nothing when the perception (and not just mine) of this site is that is has had it's run, and now only supports a few active members. With the exception of me when I decide to post something about the company I work for, or when I am bored and want to stir the pot a bit; I would guess you have maybe 25 constantly active members.

I'm really not sure how I've chased anyone away considering how little I've been here in the last 5 or 6 years??

I'm sorry you don't like the site and that you don't agree with internet rating agencies Scotty.
