Following the success of last year’s roadshow, Rileys Sports Bar is bringing The Power back to the people at Rileys Dart Zones across the country.

The 15-times world champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor will be embarking on a one-man roadshow, touching down at the following Rileys sports bars in May:

Puma Darts have just released the second edition of their Shot! catalog and it features a heap of new dart barrel designs, weights, finishes and accessories. As they have their own manufacturing facility in New Zealand for both boards, darts and sales team all under one roof they have the ability to trial and test new ideas continuously, not to mention their over 40 years of experience and knowledge of the industry. Time is devoted to sampling every week.

Michael Wiles is the Winmau Essex Open Champion

The Weston Homes Community Stadium, which is the home of Colchester United Football Club, provided the impressive venue for the 2012 Winmau Essex Open and Essex Youth Open.

A field of over 320 players entered the Essex Open; amongst them were two players from the World Championships, an England International and players from as far afield as Devon and Northumberland. Meanwhile the Essex Youth Open had over 70 entrants who came mainly from the host and surrounding counties.

Comeback Win for Winmau�s Eccles

RenFrew, Scotland - England's Tony Eccles saw off over 2000 competitors to win the Scottish Open by 5- 3 from Robbie Green in the final.

Tony rounded off his return to the BDO with a superb display that saw him edge past many top players including Stephen Bunting, Martin McCloskey and Barry Copeland.

"It was an extremely tough day as the standard was so high in every round, but I managed to keep my nerve and I�m delighted with the win," Eccles said. "With the slate wiped clean at the start of every year, it's great to be back in the BDO and I'm really looking forward to trying to qualify for the major events this year".

42 year old Eccles takes home a £2250.00 cheque with his 10th career BDO win and first major victory since the Norway Open in 2007.

Darts on the Radio

During the PDC World Championship in the press marquee in Alexandra Palace you can always find a young man sitting in a shielded corner. Usually he�s already there when I come and he�s still there when I leave though I am always one of the last to leave.
He�s called the �radio man� and it looks he�s sometimes commentating matches live. From time to time he does an interview with some of the players.

Sealed with a Kist

Christian Kist 7 � 5 Tony O�Shea

Dutch road worker Christian Kist completed a remarkable journey from rank outsider to World Champion by defeating Tony O�Shea in the Lakeside final.

Kist was ranked 106th in the world before the tournament and had defied the odds just to qualify. The Lipstick performed fabulously all week to become a worthy winner of the title.

Willie O�Connor Joins Winmau on a 3 Year Contract
